IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Victor
Ferrante
September 12, 1952 – November 1, 2025
Joseph Victor Ferrante, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He will forever be cherished and missed by his beloved wife, Claire Miyashiro Ferrante, and his three children: Kimiko, Brian (Laura) and Gina Ferrante Rodriguez (Eddie). He was a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Sienna and Luca. He is also survived by two sisters, Vieda Cantacessi (Don) and JoAnn Harding (Ernie) and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, to Vito and Mary Ferrante, Joe (as he was known) grew up surrounded by extended family and community. He graduated from Daniel Murphy Catholic High School and later earned a BA from Loyola University, where he formed lifelong friendships, especially with his Phi Kappa Theta brothers. Joe loved sports and was an avid Dodgers fan. He shared his passion for baseball as a volunteer coach for Northwood Little League and started a travel ball club that emphasized academics, social skills, and baseball development for young players. He was also a friendly competitor and commissioner in the Kings X fantasy football league and his family league, the Ferrante Football Federation (FFF).
Professionally, Joe was an executive for several ticketing companies in the entertainment industry. With a career spanning over 30 years, he played a key role as ticketing evolved into complex online systems we know today for concerts, professional sports, and theater nationwide.
Joe’s greatest joy and accomplishment was his family. His happiest times were spent sharing a conversation, meal or game together. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and inspiration for those who knew him. Rather than mourning, we celebrate Joe’s remarkable life—a life filled with kindness, humor, and devotion.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held Thursday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church , 24252 El Toro Road, Laguna Woods, CA 92637. A reception follows in the parish hall. Family and friends are welcome. If you plan to attend the reception, please RSVP to Anne Chilcott at anne@gardensoft.com .
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Joe’s name to the Pancreatic Action Network, pancan.org/donate .
