Joseph Rotella, Jr, 85, was born January 18, 1925 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away October 27, 2010 in Mission Viejo, CA.

Joseph graduated with his Bachelor's Degree from Occidental College after serving his country in the Army Air Force during WWII. After a brief stint as a teacher, he joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department, and after a 30-year career, Joseph proudly retired as a Fire Chief.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughters Christine Tortarolo of San Clemente, CA and Melinda Karo of Pacifica, CA; sisters Dorothy Griffo of San Gabriel, CA and Rosemarie Guzzetta of Laguna Niguel, CA; 5 grandchildren, Victoria, Dylan, & Neko Tortarolo, Jonathan & Claire Karo; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 10/30/2010 at 10:00am at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Dana Point, CA. Burial will follow at Pacific View Memorial Park, Newport Beach, CA.
