Obituary

About 57 years ago, a young Larry Robinson traded in his race car to buy an engagement ring for his bride. On March 4th 2010, he quietly passed away with her by his side, as she had been all their married life.

Joseph Lawrence ‘Larry’ Robinson was born on September 17, 1934 in Glendale, California to Orson Spencer Robinson and Althea Sander Robinson. As he grew, he developed a great rapport with people, and became a man that others were drawn to and followed willingly. He had a great talent with making businesses grow. A faithful member of the L.D.S. church, service was central in his life. He once championed a hospital’s need for the newest technology in brain scans, little knowing the machine acquired would later save his daughter’s life.

Family was, and is, everything to him. He always made time for his children and grandchildren, relishing his role as husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn ‘Gay’ Robinson; sister Marilyn Rands; his children Geri Lynn Foreman Stephen, Spencer Robinson Diana, Cheryl Robinson, Diana Feliu Gus, Michelle Hubbard Sean, David Robinson Darcy, and eleven grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, March 13th at the L.D.S. Stake Center, 27976 Marguerite Pkwy, Mission Viejo, Ca. The viewing will begin at 10:30 A.M., and the funeral will begin at 11:30. Flowers may be sent to O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

We would like to express our gratitude for the sympathy and many kindnesses we have received, and we would like to extend a special ‘thank you’ to Hospice of the West and Caitlin Crommett’s ‘Dream Catchers’.
