Joseph Patrick Jones was born in Muskogee, OK, February 27, 1933, to Robert and Margaret Jones. He had an older sister, Mary and younger brother, James.

He graduated in 1957 from OK Agricultural & Mechanical College with a degree in Engineering. McDonnell Douglas hired him right out of college and in 1957 he took a road trip in his Austin Healey to CA, where he made his home for the next 67 years.

In 1961, he married the love of his life, Maxine, and became Daddy to Bobby and Ricky. In 1963 they bought their first home in Garden Grove, CA and over the next few years, Pamela and Brian were born.

Patrick worked in the aerospace industry for 40 years, working on the Skylab, MD-80, and MD-11.

He was an avid golfer, single digit handicap and several holes in one over the years.

He was a devoted husband for 57 years, losing his beloved wife in 2019.

Patrick survived a brain tumor and a pandemic.

Although he traveled to many exciting international locations with his job, the one place he really wanted to visit was Mt. Rushmore. He did that in 2021 with his sons, Bob and Brian.

In 2023, all his kids and many other family members gathered to celebrate his 90 ^th Birthday. Patrick had four children, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and many other extended family… all of whom loved him so very much.

Patrick was a believer, so today we joyfully claim the promise of John 3:16 “…whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
