Obituary

Joe passed away peacefully on October 1, 2023. Born on April 29, 1922 in North Bergen, NJ, Joe was the only child of Joseph Casamento and Marie Casamento. A long time resident of Wayne NJ, after retirement he and his wife Margaret moved to Laguna Niguel CA to be nearer to family. After 55 blessed years of marriage Margaret passed away in 2008.

In 1943, after graduation from Stevens Tech. as a Mechanical Engineer, Joe entered the U.S. Marine core where he served honorably in the South Pacific and Japan during WWII. Returning to the states he embarked on a career as a Manufacturing manager in early television (Dumont), and in electronics (Fairchild and Magnavox).

Joe was a loving, husband, son, father and friend to all who knew him. Family was the most important thing in his life. He had a lifelong love of tennis and golf. After retirement, he and Marge enjoyed travel and their grandchildren.

Joe is survived by his daughter Jo-Anne Andre´, sons Robert and Gary Casamento, and grandchildren Katie, Rose, Jeffrey and James.

Memorial service will be at O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills Ca on October 16, 2023 at 10 AM.

Graveside service will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange CA on October 16, 2023 at 1:30 PM.

    Came across this accidentally, so sorry for your loss. Remember Uncle Joe and Aunt Margie as my favorite aunt and uncle. Sadly, did not spend enough time with them. They were always so kind. My mom was Katherine Parkes. My dad was James, Margie’s brother.
