Forever in our hearts, Jon Michael LaVine, 78, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra LaVine; his son, Jon LaVine; his daughter, Jacqueline LaVine Lloyd; his son-in-law, James Lloyd; and four grandchildren: Ryan, Jacob, Jourdan, and Jillian.

Jon was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota and was a resident of Laguna Hills, California since 1979. Jon was a man of superb integrity and found humor in many facets of life.

Jon was a member and former President of Mission Viejo County Club. He loved golfing and spending time with friends making wise cracks.

Jon loved traveling including Europe, Mexico and all over the United States. He loved spending time visiting with his family in Washington. He also enjoyed when they came to Southern California for extended summer vacation time to Casa Hotel-LaVine .

Jon was the founder and owner of LaVine & Associates, CPAs, Inc. and many long-time clients will miss him. He was a CPA for over 50 years. It was truly a testament for him to have the loyalty of his peers at the firm that ranged from 20 to 37 years. His office will miss his daily inquiries at 10:00am on where we are going to lunch today.

One of Jon’s most cherished accomplishments was when he served on the Foundation Board of Saddleback College.
