Johnny "Butch" Atencio, 75, of San Clemente, passed away February 17, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born July 28, 1942 in Riverside, California but grew up in San Juan Capistrano.

A Cement Mason for 35 years, Johnny is survived by his wife Beatrice "Betty" Atencio; daughter Melinda Lauriano and her husband Ted; daughter Jaimie Atencio and her husband Robert Kallaher; daughter Gina MacLean and her husband Sandy; daughter Roxanne Atencio; son-in-law Scott Ramey; son Shane Atencio and his wife Caitlin; sister Louise Tijerina; brothers Joe Castro and Danny Castro and 7 grandchildren.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 1:30 pm at the Atencio Family home. Please call or text (949) 874-0115 for details. The family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
