John “Candy” Tehrani March 17, 1981 – May 4, 2021
Although Candy was ill for many years, he was a fighter and found much happiness with his family, his friends, his pets and his art. He loved his white German Shepard, Blanca, and spent much of his time playing and swimming with her.
Art played a huge part of his life. His years of struggle influenced his art and translated to abstract unique sculpture, ceramics and mixed media art. He planned out Halloween and Christmas decorations for months and he beamed with pride when neighbors told him our house was the best decorated in the neighborhood. He loved to decorate for parties and his presents always had elaborate wrappings. Candy valued education and worked hard to get straight A’s in his college classes. His art professor told Alex that Candy was gifted. The professor had it wrong, he was our gift.
“The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live.” – Auguste Rodin
