Obituary

John Nelson Spousta

Born in Raynham, Bristol, MA

February 23, 1923 – November 13, 2018

John passed away peacefully at his home in Mission Viejo, California. He was 95 years old. He was the most incredible Father, a strong, hardworking multi-talented man who taught his children to persevere, work hard to achieve their dreams, respect our freedom, our flag, our country and care for family and friends. He lived through the depression, and as a young boy he helped his Father raise his younger siblings after his Mother broke down from losing one of her son’s at an early age. He fought in WWII in Italy. He received two purple hearts for his service and valor. After being released from the army he went to work for General Electric, and met and married Mary Ripley. John designed and built his first home in Massachusetts. In 1959 he moved the family to Anaheim, California. John worked for North American aviation, which later was bought by Boeing, he worked in management at Boeing for 31 years until he retired in 1990. He lived a great life and will be dearly missed by his three remaining children, John Jr., Allan and Janice, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren and sister Beverly.

A Grave side memorial service will be held at: El Toro Memorial Park 25751 Trabuco Road Lake Forest, CA 92630 on Monday, November 19th at 11am. In lieu of flowers we ask that you donate in my Father’s name to The Wounded Warriors. “We are so sad when those we love are called to live in “The Home Above”, But they have but gone to prepare the way and we will meet them again some happy day- For God has told us that nothing can sever a life he created to live on forever- So let God’s promise soften our sorrow and give us new strength for a brighter tomorrow.”
