John Leo Quirin 1945-2025

John Leo (Jack) Quirin, 79, of Irvine, California, died at home surrounded by loved ones, on April 6, 2025.

He was born in Aurora, Illinois in 1945 to Lucy Beatrix Quirin, nee White, and Leo Ernest Quirin and grew up in LaGrange, Illinois.

Jack attended St. Francis Elementary School in LaGrange and St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Illinois before studying engineering at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Upon graduation, he went to work at Illinois Tool Works, Inc. where he spent his entire career before retiring in 2001.

Jack was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan and thoroughly enjoyed their triumph in the 2016 World Series after many years of disappointment.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and Leo Quirin. He is survived by his wife, Jan Quirin, nee Christensen, his sons Andrew John Quirin and Matthew Christensen Quirin, daughter-in-law, Christina Quirin, nee Arjun, and grandson, Aden Arjun Quirin, sisters Diane Strand (Wesley) and Mary Thonn (William).
