John
Grazer
February 7, 1954 – September 16, 2025
John Grazer — loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandpa — passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after a 13-year fight with Parkinson's disease. He was 71.
John was born on February 7, 1954, and spent his entire life in Southern California. He built a successful career as a CPA and CFO, known for his expertise and his character. He worked hard, treated people fairly, and was always there to help a friend or colleague through tough times.
He retired young, at 55, and threw himself into the things he loved most — tennis, golf, and spending time with family.
Family was everything to John. He and his wife, Jan, were married for more than 40 years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and partnership. He was a proud dad to David and Adam, always supportive and never missing their games. With his calm presence and quick sense of humor, John brought joy to everyday life and helped his family and friends through the harder moments.
John faced Parkinson's with incredible strength and without complaint. He showed his family how to live with dignity and grace, and the lessons he passed on about education, perseverance, and integrity will stay with them forever.
He leaves behind his wife, Jan "(Applebaum)"; his sons, David and Adam; his daughters-in-law, Nicole and Rachel; his grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan; his brothers, Rohn and Michael; brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and countless dear friends and colleagues who feel fortunate to have shared in his life.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at Oso Creek Golf Course, 27601 Casta Del Sol, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson's Orange County in John's honor .
