John was born in Anaheim, CA to proud parents John and Patricia. He had three younger siblings, Maria, Linda, and Eric. He grew up in Fullerton, CA and attended Cal Poly, University in Pomona and received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He later received his Masters in Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
John met his wife Swapna in one of their Engineering classes at Cal Poly. They were married in 1985 and moved to Mission Viejo where they raised four beautiful children, Anjulie, Anthony, Andriana and Andrew. He was dedicated to his family and along with his wife raised his children in the Catholic faith.
John took many trips and vacations with his family. He liked going to national parks and to the California coast. His favorite places were Yosemite and Carpinteria. The family took many road trips throughout the years.
John was a devout Catholic. He attended daily mass when he could and attended Sunday mass regularly. He prayed the rosary and the Divine Mercy every evening. Even when he was too ill to walk, he came to church and received communion in the car.
John enjoyed long bike rides and jogging through the trails of Orange County. He dedicated his weekends to watching his children play baseball and softball. He enjoyed concerts and fishing at Lake Mission Viejo. He loved the beach, especially San Clemente beach.
