JOANY  RYMOND

MARCH 1, 1939 to NOVEMBER 2,2021

It is with deep grief and sadness that we mourn the unexpected passing of our beloved and precious mother and grandmother, Joany Rymond.

82 years ago, Joan Marie Rymond was born in Johnstown, PA to Nicholas and Lilian Galioto. She attended Ferndale High School and graduated with honors.

Joany was raised in Johnstown until 1957, when her family relocated to Southern California. In 1958 she met and then married, Rocky Rymond.

Joany was a devoted and dedicated full time house wife , raising four children, driving them to school , Cub Scouts, Ice Skating lessons, Birthday parties and Church programs at St Jane Frances.  She always had dinner ready, every night, at 6pm.

Joany loved all types of Italian food, plus Ice cream.  She attended night school at the local community college and worked part time volunteering at the local hospital, but her main focus was always her children and grandchildren.

Joany is survived by her ex-husband Rocky Rymond Sr,  son Rocky Rymond  Jr, son Freddy Rymond , daughter Roxanne "Tammy" DiMaggio, along with her son-in-laws Richard DiMaggio and Glenn McGarry, daughter-in-law Rochelle Rymond and grandchildren Alexis, Avalon, KC,  Jackie,  Glen Jr. and Matthew, her siblings, Violet, Pauline, Chris & Darlene,  nieces Karen and Kerrie and nephews Ricky, David & Bobby.

Joany is preceded in death by her  step-daughter Julie McGarry and sisters Mary and Kathleen.

Joany will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, soft spoken voice, sparkling blue eyes and love for her family and friends. She was kind, gentle and generous. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Joany Rymond passed away on Tuesday November 2, 2021 at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, Ca. at 1:27 am at the age of 82.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday November 21, 2021 at El Niguel Country Club.
