  1. Dr. Pierog cared so much about her colleagues. She was an excellent teacher and mentor to residents and fellow faculty. Some of the best career advice I ever received came from her, and I’m a more confident physician because of her presence.

  2. Dr. Pierog challenged us to be better each shift, encouraged us to find the holes in our work so that we could become more competent and confident physicians, and kept us smiling through a very rigorous and trying time in our lives. I will always remember the Nespresso machine she brought into Alpha Pod to keep us energized on night shifts. I am better for knowing you, and my patients reap the benefits. Thank you.

  4. Jess, I am so sorry you left us so soon. I met Jess at Wellesley and she was a fast and loyal friend. Jess, you will be missed so much! My condolences to the Pierog family.

  5. I moved out of California and just heard this sad news today. I worked for nine years with Jessica and she was a truly wonderful woman. She was compassionate, hard working, and dedicated to her patients and team. It is heartbreaking to hear she left our world so soon. Her family will be in my prayers. I will carry fond memories of Jessica in my heart for the rest of my life.
