  1. Dear and Beloved Teresa, Juan Diego and friends and family of Jerry Temple,

May the grace and mercy of the Risen Christ be with you all! During these difficult days, I entrust you to Our Lady of Sorrows for She stood at the foot of the Cross as Her Divine Son Jesus Christ was redeeming the world from sin and death. It has been a joy to teach Juan Diego Biology at JSerra Catholic High and to get to know your family.

Thank you Teresa for allowing me to offer Jerry the most precious things one can receive this side of heaven: three sacraments. Thanks be to God that Jerry was able to go to confession, receive the sacrament of the Anointing of the sick and to receive Jesus Christ in Holy Communion! Jerry also received a great grace from the Catholic Church, offered to those who are close to death: an Apostolic Pardon, which is a special blessing for the forgiveness of sins and an opportunity to receive a plenary indulgence, which takes away the temporal punishment due to sin.

Let us continue to pray for the repose of the soul of Jerry and the consolation of the Temple family.

Sincerely yours in Christ Jesus, Father Charbel Grbavac O.Praem. St. Michael’s Abbey of the Norbertine Fathers
