On Saturday, January 28, 2023 Jerry went home to the Lord. In 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Irene, when they were both 17 right out of high school, a beautiful love story that lasted 63 years. They bought their first home in Huntington Beach where they raised two of their children. They moved to Mission Viejo, CA in 1978 where they raised their third child. Jerry and Irene are charter members of Saddleback Community Church where he spent his time volunteering wherever needed. He was always looking for ways to help others whatever he was doing.

He worked for Albertson’s grocery stores as a truck driver for 32 years and loved what he did, driving his big rig four days a week to Las Vegas and back.  Jerry was a humble, hardworking man who dedicated his life to his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Irene, their children Steve (Ellen), Sheri Rowden (Rich), Jeff (Kimberly), five grandchildren, Kristopher, Heather, Katelin, Lauren and Bryan, and five great-grandchildren, Christian, Liam, Skyler, Isabelle and William.

A memorial is planned for Friday, February 17 ^th at Saddleback Community Church Plaza Room from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
