I only knew Jen online via some Minnesota friends from my time in the Midwest. A caring soul, Jen and I fought for many of the same things in our lives and in society. May her spirit, moxie and enthusiasm live on in me, her children and many others.

Jen was so welcoming when my family moved to Irvine. She helped us get involved at church and that really helped our transition to life in California. Hunter and Matt, our family is sending love and prayers to you.

Sweet Jenny, you were an inspiration to those of us who love you. Your kind heart and gentle ways gave you the ability to champion causes that needed a strong voice and an ability to communicate. You were blessed with the gift of communication and you used it as a true Christian would, with a pure heart and love for mankind. Your passion for the things you believed in was beautiful to watch. I will miss those texts so BRIGHT – so CLEVER and – so ON POINT! Like a beautiful butterfly, you flew into our lives for a moment and then you were gone. Your suffering is through. You will fly with the Angels and butterflies to spread joy everywhere. Every time I see a beautiful butterfly, I will know you are with us – stopping to bring a moment of joy. Rest in Peace, Jen, until we are all together again.

I miss you, Jen. I miss your fierceness, your Sunday Gratitudes, your visits to my home, and our laughing and wisecracking on FB. My heart hurts but geez I am glad you are free from pain. Maybe you’ve visited my mother by now, also a warrior against cancer. Rock the heavens, my friend.
