Obituary

Jeffrey David Griffiths, 27, of Dove Canyon, California, passed away on September 27, 2011. He was born on August 27, 1984 in Long Beach, California. Jeff was a devoted son, brother and friend. His life would seem too short to many, and those who were touched by him have been forever blessed.

Jeff grew up in Mission Viejo and Dove Canyon, California. He attended Trabuco Hills High School. Jeff graduated from the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy in March, 2007. He graduated from Santa Ana College with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice and from Santiago Canyon College in August, 2011 with an Associate degree in Liberal Arts. Jeff was currently enrolled at California State University, Dominguez Hills, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Studies.

Jeff was an active member of the Masonic Fraternity (Saddleback Laguna Lodge). He was initiated on September 16, 2010 as an Entered Apprentice, passed on February 17, 2011 onto Fellow Craft, and was raised on April 28, 2011 to Master Mason.

Jeff is survived by his parents, David and Theresa Griffiths; sisters, Jennifer O’Hara and Ashley Griffiths; brother-in-law, Eamon O’Hara; niece, Madison O’Hara; grandparents, Bob and Deonne Hanson; and many other beloved extended family members.

Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills, California. The wake will be on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The memorial service will be on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00am. Reception will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Dove Canyon Country Club. A private family burial will be at El Toro Memorial Park.

    I have known Jeff since we were little and this one time our older sisters and moms took us toilet papering and when the owner of the house came out and caught us jeff chucked a hole roll of toilet paper and hit the guy right in the head. it was hilarious! then we all jumped in the car and took off! when we got back to the Griffith’s house we realized jeff wasnt with us and had to go back to the house we just got caught toilet papering and find jeff who was still hiding in the bushes!! every time i saw jeff i think i would tell everyone around us this story it was my favorite memorie of him and i will never forget it! rip jeff you will be greatly missed bud.
