Jeanette
Sampson
March 8, 2024
These words are dedicated to honor a great mother and wife, – Jeanette Weglarz Sampson, who passed away March 8, 2024. Jeanette was a loving and kind soul who opened her arms and heart readily to all around her with her contagious laugh.
When Jeanette made a friend it was a friend for life, and she and my father, Paul had a list of cherished people who they spoke to frequently and spent vacations together with for decades. She was the most loyal of people, saw the best in others, and never went a day without laughing.
She and Dad loved to entertain, particularly with special friends from their parish, and their parties were legendary, especially at Christmastime which was their favorite holiday. But Thanksgiving was a close second and was always filled with lots of family and lots of special foods including her famous kielbasa and sauerkraut.
Her faith was strong and she and my dad shared a true, deep commitment to God and to the Church.
Jeanette left us too soon and too unexpectedly but was at peace with starting her next journey which, I am certain, will be filled with as much laughter, joy, friendships and unconditional love that her life here on earth was filled with. We never ended a conversation without saying “Ja cie kocham” which is “I love you” in Polish.
Mom, we are all saying “Ja Cie Kocham” to you now. We will miss you from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to when we see each other again. Goodbye to a wonderful, wonderful mother.
