Jean passed away June 8, 2005 after a valiant struggle to recover from complications related to lung cancer surgery. Jean is survived by her 2 children, 2 cats, and her many friends. Jean worked as an instructional aide in a special needs classroom at Russell Elementary in Santa Ana California for 28 years. Jean moved to Laguna Woods several years ago and she loved her new beginning. She quickly made many friends through her involvement with church, club activities, attending plays, concerts, and her neighbors. She was fondly known as the friendly ?hat lady?. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 06/11/2005 ? 10:00a.m. at O?Connor Laguna Hills Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, California. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
