Jean Dorothy Flynn
November 15, 1936 – June 26, 2024

Jean Dorothy Flynn passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 26, 2024 at her home at Emerald Court Assisted Living in Anaheim, CA. Jean was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 15, 1936. She graduated from East Rockaway High School and became a secretary, a profession she greatly enjoyed. She met her spouse Kevin J. Flynn (d) at a company Christmas party on December 23, 1955 and from that moment on, Christmas was always a special time for them. Jean and Kevin married on August 19, 1967. In 1969, the family moved from Massachusetts to Northern California, where the family lived until retirement to San Clemente, CA in 1993.

Jean was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma. One of her greatest joys in life was her family. She loved being around people, especially children, and could (and often did) talk to anyone.  Jean had a giving, loving heart and made people feel welcome. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, frequently coming up with puns and laughing at jokes.

Jean is survived by her two beloved children, son Kevin (wife Colleen) and daughter PJ, and beloved granddaughter Katie, as well as many close extended family members and friends.

A vigil service will be held Monday, July 15 at 7:00 pm at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 16 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 105 N. La Esperanza, San Clemente.  Graveside service will follow at 12:45 pm at Ascension Cemetery 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630.
