Jean Catherine Volner (1942 – 2017)

Jean Catherine Volner passed away peacefully on January 26, 2017 at the age of 74.

She was born in Los Angeles, California on March 7, 1942, the youngest of three children. Jean married her sweetheart, William Kenneth Volner Jr, on November 9, 1963. They settled in Costa Mesa and raised their family.

Jean’s favorite hobbies were The Bear Club, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), boat rides on Bass Lake, and egg salad sandwiches at The Forks.

Jean is survived by William Kenneth Volner, Jr. her husband of 54 years; her son Bill and his wife Shelly; her daughter, Julie Greifelt and son-in-law Philip Greifelt. Jean has four grandchildren, Emma, Abbey, Will and Nancy. She will be lovingly remembered for her great smile, warm and decent human being, a loving wife and devoted mother.

A Vigil and Rosary will be offered Monday, January 30, 2017 at 4:00pm at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 12:00pm at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 26872 Estanciero Dr., Mission Viejo, CA . Graveside service and burial will be Friday, February, 3, 2017 at North Fork Cemetery, North Fork, CA.
