Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Jean Charlotte Allen, 86 of Lake Forest, CA passed away on Friday, September 19 ^th surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years Bruce, children Brian (Annette) Allen, Suzanne Hopkinson, Michael (Anne) Allen, Donald (Kelly) Allen, and Richard (Rachel) Smith, brother Alan Anthony and sister Glennae Bartle.  She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Geraldene Anthony and daughter Cynthia.

She was born in Derby, England and moved with her family to Salt Lake City, Utah when she was a teenager.  She loved her adopted country and did everything she could to become "American."   She met the love of her life in Salt Lake City, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple for Time and all Eternity.  The next chapter of her life was filled with moving to California, raising five children, and supporting them in all the various activities.  She was kind to everyone and generous with her time.  She loved her family, and nothing made her smile more than being around the people she loved.  Her passion was gardening, and she loved to design beautiful scenes with colorful flowers in the backyard.  We are grateful for the years we have had together and will miss her beautiful smile and her comforting presence.
