  1. Dearest JC, I will always have fond memories of you. From the time you signed me up for Curves, your smiles, your cheerfulness, your encouragement and your genuine caring helped me so much. I would look forward to seeing you. There will be an emptiness now. But your smiles and encouragement will always linger on. Thank You so much.

My condolences to the loving family of a truly wonderful person.

It’s hard to believe that J.C. has left us…On behalf of the Michigan State University family, Dr. Haefner will always be remembered, both in East Lansing, MI and Orange County CA for her wisdom, her grace, her generous spirit, her quiet ways of getting things done and her legacy of support that she leaves for future Spartans. For all who were graced with her presence, she taught us by EXAMPLE with passion and humility what it means to live a life of love and service.

  3. Moody and I were saddened to hear of Judie’s passing. While more recent contacts had decreased, many fond memories remain. Judie was one of four women in a class of 64 in Veterinary School at Michigan State in the fall of 1961. In many minds, including mine, she was considered the sweetheart of the class. She always had a smile and was ready to help out whatever the task. I was honored to be best man in her wedding. She was a great mom. I remember Jim and Steve playing when I would stop to visit at the clinic and she and Bill were working. It was great to see Judie at our 40th class re-union at MSU three years ago. Her death came as a real surprise. The world is a better place because of her.

  4. To the family of JC-
I did not know JC well but always enjoyed talking to her when I would see her at Curves. I was able to visit her in the hospital and found her to be a very positive and hopeful person.
May your memories be those of all the happy times.

  5. Oh, Pickles ! ! ! We weren’t finished with all the adventures awaiting us.

Be it going to Las Vegas, or just a Farmer’s Market. How about another Faire ? ? ? Then we had the games and the movies, and, of course, the Zoo. One of your greatest passions was the Zoo. There isn’t a Pod out there who doesn’t know you personally.

The challenge of Christmas shopping ! ! ! If everyone only knew . . . what a giggle.

And the food, the glorious food . . . people who knew you thought you didn’t eat much . . . they just didn’t know how many plates of middle-eastern food you could down in one sitting. My neighbors knew I was calling you every time they handed a plate of middle-eastern goodies over the fence.

You didn’t want to be my friend, you wanted to be my family . . . that’s when you became my sister. I will be forever grateful for the sister I found in you.

We had fun and we had adventures. I will always miss you. I loved you, my precious sister.
