Obituary

Jason Wilson was born November 9, 1988 in Mission Viejo California. He passed away March 28, 2014. He is survived by his parents Kelli Mjellem, Alex Wilson, and Norman Mjellem, and his sister Jade Mjellem. He has a huge extended family which includes his Grandmas RaNae Larson and Sixta “Aba’; His Uncles Lance Larson, Dustin Getchell, Alex De la Campa and David Menses; His Aunts Liz Menses, Jennifer de la Campa, Katy Larson and his Cousins Samantha Meneses, Madisen Meneses, Lauren Meneses, David Menses, Payton Larson, Adel De La Campa, Adriana De La Campa, Athena De La Campa and Alexandra De La Campa. They all love Jason deeply and will miss him always.

Jason was raised in San Clemente where as a young child he exhibited a love for the beach lifestyle and was rarely caught without a skateboard in his hand which Mom supported by building a 6-foot half pipe that filled up the backyard. He was an avid surfer, loved the skate park and could be spotted around town on his skate board. You could also find Jason practicing Jujitsu, listening to music or motorcycle riding. His parents were proud when he scored the highest academic achievement award in the Police Explorer Program. When Jason was a teenager we were all proud when he graduated from San Clemente High School. As an adult, Jason loved the times he spent working with his Dad, traveling the country and moving furniture.

At 22 years old, Jason suffered from a traumatic brain injury that changed his life forever. His family and friends surrounded him with a lot of love and support. We were honored to help him along his journey of recovery.

We all have amazing and funny stories of Jason. His sister, Jade, will remember all the times she spent with Jason. Their relationship was a bond like no other and they both felt that the sun rose and set with each other. His family will remember all the times they spent laughing, playing and puzzling together at the family cabin and in Boise, Idaho.

Jason had charisma and charm like no one else and when he was around there was no where else you would rather be. His sense of humor was one of a kind, he was never afraid to make fun of himself or find the humor in all situations.

The world will shine a little less now that Jason is not here to trudge this road with us but, we will never forget his smile or the love he held in his heart for his family and friends.

You are forever safely tucked away in God’s hands now. Our sweet boy, we love you.

Memorial services will be held on:

Sunday, April 6th at 2:00pm at the South Shores Church- 32712 Crown Valley Pkwy, Dana Point, CA 92629.
