Obituary
Jan Peters passed away on May 29, after a battle against cancer. She fought without complaint and without bitterness. She was incredibly strong – strong enough to fight her battle and still give strength to those around her. Jan was, and will always be, the epitome of a true heart, a true mother, a true grandmother and a dear, dear friend to all.
Jan was selfless and caring…all while being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jan was, in many ways, the life and light of our family. Although we will all cherish the memories of our time with Jan, her smile and laughter, her energy and spirit, are no longer with us. We are less without her and we will miss her dearly.
A school secretary with the Garden Grove School District for 30 years, Janice is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carl; sons, Russell Paul Peters and Jeffrey Thomas Peters; sister, Bette Marco; grandchildren, Justin, Jeremey, Jamie, Rachel, Braden, Breck, Joshua, Jennifer, Joe; great-grandchild, Lynn-x. Janice was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Michael Peters.

Jan had so many wonderful qualities – she was definitely the best sister in the world. We were very close, and I miss her so much! I will always treasure our special times together, and our many sessions of laughter and tears. I am so happy I got to spend every minute of her last week by her side. I was trying to comfort her, and as was typical of Jan, she was trying to comfort me! She was so courageous… my sister, my best friend! I loved her so very much.
