Obituary

Jan Peters passed away on May 29, after a battle against cancer. She fought without complaint and without bitterness. She was incredibly strong – strong enough to fight her battle and still give strength to those around her. Jan was, and will always be, the epitome of a true heart, a true mother, a true grandmother and a dear, dear friend to all.
Jan was selfless and caring…all while being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Jan was, in many ways, the life and light of our family. Although we will all cherish the memories of our time with Jan, her smile and laughter, her energy and spirit, are no longer with us. We are less without her and we will miss her dearly.
A school secretary with the Garden Grove School District for 30 years, Janice is survived by her husband of 50 years, Carl; sons, Russell Paul Peters and Jeffrey Thomas Peters; sister, Bette Marco; grandchildren, Justin, Jeremey, Jamie, Rachel, Braden, Breck, Joshua, Jennifer, Joe; great-grandchild, Lynn-x. Janice was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Michael Peters.

  3. Janny was not only my niece but my friend. I have many memories with Janny that I will always treasure. I will miss her very much.

  4. I have many fond memories of coming out to Calif and staying with Janny, Carl and family. Janny always made me feel very welcomed.

I really appreciated all that Janny did for my mom. Janny was always there for my mom whether to help her with Sally, help her when she wasn’t feeling well and needed to be checked in on or simply just being my mom’s friend. Janny had a heart of gold. I will be forever grateful and will miss her very much.
