Obituary

Janet Dupree Ladwig
1959-2017

God took Janet Ladwig, of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, on December 21, 2017. Janet will now be over seeing all of us from now to eternity.

Janet Carol Dupree was born on June 6, 1959, in Sandy Springs, GA. She attended Auburn University and never let’s us forget that she is and always will be a “War Damn Eagle”. After college, Janet married Jeff Ladwig in 1982 and moved to Southern California shortly thereafter to build a new life together for 34 years.

While in California, Janet started a business career with Kelly Services where she worked until the birth of her only child, Karli Marie Ladwig in 1995. Since, that time, Janet has been the perfect volunteer mom and wife by always sacrificing her own time to support others. She was a room mom, Girl Scout leader, soccer team mom, fund-raiser and charity event ambassador. Whenever someone needed help, they called on Janet. Everyone remembers Janet for her kind heart and big smile, her willingness to help wherever and whenever possible, and of course her wonderful Southern cooking.

Survivors include Jeff and Karli along with her father, Ed Dupree. The life of Janet will be celebrated on January 4, 2018 at Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, CA between the hours of 2-5pm (memories will begin to flow at 3pm). All friends are welcome. The following morning, the family will take a small journey out to sea, to lay her remains to rest.

  1. I have great memories of Janet during the many years our daughters played soccer together. We had a lot of fun traveling together for soccer and we were always looking for some kind of mischief to get into! Jeff & Karli you are in my prayers. RIP Janet

  2. Jeff and Karli, I am so sorry for your loss. Janet was one of a kind. We were Girl Scout leaders together and neighborhood friends. She was a great lady. ‘- Julia Schuster

Kathy said it so well at her Memorial — “Janet loved life and she loved people even more”. Janet was such an amazing FUN person and a joy to be around. I miss her so much!
