Obituary

Janet Lee Braden (Hinemeyer)

Janet Lee Braden (Hinemeyer) was born on June 30, 1933, in Elliott, Iowa, to Howard and Agnita Hinemeyer. She went to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Atria Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano, California, at the age of 93.

Janet’s faith was her life. She lived for Jesus and shared His love with others through her servant heart and sweet smile. Her life reflected her love for the Lord, and her legacy of faith will continue through those who knew and loved her.

Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Courtland Richard Braden, with whom she shared nearly 73 years of marriage. She is survived by her brother, Gene Hinemeyer, her son, Terry, of North Highlands, California; and her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Butch Ward, of Mission Viejo, California as well as 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at South Coast Christian, 31501 Avenida Los Cerritos, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA 92122, where Janet will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Court, a U.S. Air Force B-52 pilot and Vietnam veteran.

Janet is now home with her Lord and Savior, whom she loved and served so faithfully.
