Jamesine Mary "Jamie"
Zarbock
February 9, 1962 – March 16, 2026
Jamesine "Jamie" Zarbock, 64, of San Juan Capistrano, California passed away on March 16, 2026, in Mission Viejo, California.
She was born in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, where she attended St. Richard's school. During her youth she participated on a community soccer team, enjoyed bicycle riding, childhood camping trips and family vacations. She found comfort in summer afternoons spent in the backyard, often sunbathing after swimming in the pool. Jamie enjoyed the band Genesis and loved to play the Hammond organ which had been given to the family by her grandmother.
In the 1970s, Jamie relocated with her family to Orange County, California. She graduated Magnificat High School there, then later lived briefly in San Francisco before returning to Orange County where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Jamie shared a special connection with her father from whom she inherited her artistic drawing and sculpting talent. Demonstrating this ability, she once sketched a freehand full-wall mural of a Spanish galleon for her little brother's bedroom.
She maintained an interest in video arcades and vintage video games and frequently attended the annual County Fair. The Tall Ships and Doheny Jazz festivals were events she loved, and she appreciated time spent strolling along the harbor. Jamie attended church for many years at Old Mission and St. Edwards parishes.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Marylou Zarbock and is survived by her four siblings, a niece, two nephews and extended family. As an aunt, she maintained an interest in the lives of her nieces and nephews, periodically inquiring about their activities.
Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery near Cleveland, Ohio, the resting place of her parents.
