Self, James R., 56, of Rancho Santa Margarita, passed away 3-31-09 after a hard fought battle of complications following a heart attack. He excelled at football and baseball at Garden Grove HS. He enjoyed coaching and supporting his two kids in soccer and baseball. He was a graduate of Cal Polytechnic Pomona with a degree in Landscape Architecture. He was a loving father, son and brother. He is survived by his son, Devon; daughter, Staci; sisters, Sandra and Cheryl; brother, Charles and mother Annie; 3 nieces, Kathleen, Lisa and Jennifer. He will be greatly missed and always remembered by all who knew him. The memorial will be held to remember and celebrate Jim's life at O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills at 1:00 PM, Sunday, April 5, 2009. 25301 Alicia Pkwy Laguna Hills, CA 92653.
