  1. I will always remember Jimmy’s infectious smile.
I really hadn’t seen much of Jim since High School, but thank goodness for Facebook. It was so great to reconnect even if it was for too short of time. Jimmy was so excited to reconnect. He was talking about getting a group together for a party because too much time had passed and old friends were important.
I guess he got his wish…I’m sorry we couldn’t be there to celebrate Jimmy’s life in person. We are definitely there in spirit.
    Farewell old friend.
Until we meet again. Love, Cheryl Barker

  2. It is with great sadness hearing of Jim’s passing. We collaborated over the years on many landscape projects and always relished the opportunity to meet at the local Starbucks to catch up and to discuss not only work but most of all, our kids. Always a great discussion and a happy person to share life’s pleasures. I will truly miss Jim.

Huge dimpled smile, sparkle in his eye, mischevous, positive attitude, terrific QB and 2nd baseman, great spirit, passion for winning….just a few words I would use to describe Jim.

My wife Cheryl and I were so looking forward to seeing Jimmy in June at the GGHS all-class picnic to talk about our current lives and remember the good old days 37+ years ago. Jim loved GGHS and was very active in reaching out to connect with those of us from his past. I am so glad I got to reconnect with him this last couple of years, if only for a short while. Talking with him sparked some great memories of our days on the football and baseball field. Looks like I’ll have to wait a few years, God Willing, to catch up with him later.

Cheryl and I give our heart-felt condolences to Devon and Staci, his Mom and Sandra, Cheryl and Charles. We hope you find peace in knowing Jim is in a better place.

    God Bless you.

  4. Our heartfelt condolences to all of his family. He will be missed!

    Staci and family –

Amy Bug, Mia and I were so saddened to hear about your dad. When Amy first went to Humboldt to play soccer, Jim was the first of the player’s parents to welcome me at a game. He was so proud of you and all of your accomplishments. He was very excited to hear that Mia had aspriations of becoming a goalkeeper like you,and was so encouraging to both of my daughters.

You and your family are in our thoughts. Our deepest sympathy.

    Love, Pam, Amy and Mia
