Obituary

James Ronald Chastain

Ron Chastain, of San Clemente, California, passed away on May 5, 2012. He was 71 years old, born on November 14, 1940 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Lorene and Paul Chastain.

At age 18, Ron enlisted in the US Marines and served as a photographer until his Honorable Discharge in 1963. He met Patricia Quirk in 1960 while stationed at Camp Pendleton. Ron married Patricia in 1960. They divorced in 1975. In 1967, Pacific Industrial Supply Corporation of Santa Ana, California was formed with Erv Wright, Vern Leif, Bill Lyle and Ron. In 1994, Ron became the primary owner and President of Pacific Industrial Supply and remained in that position until his death.

Ron is survived by his daughter Debra Schultz, son-in-law Daniel Schultz, granddaughters Melanie Schultz, Katelynn Schultz and Sarah Schultz of West Linn, Oregon. He is also survived by his sisters Gail Bryan and Vicky Deese, both of North Carolina. Ron was preceded in death by his son David Chastain (1988). Ron is also survived by his beloved dog, Shelby.

Service will be held at O’Connor Mortuary Chapel in Laguna Hills on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 7:00 PM (25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653). Following the service, his friends will gather at the Elephant Bar and Restaurant at 24155 Laguna Hills Mall (949-454-9530).   3. My sincere condolences to Ron’s family and my friends at Pacific Industrial. I had the honor and priviledge of working for Ron for 7 years. They are years I won’t forget because of his honesty,caring and kindness to me and for that I will always be greatful.
