JAMES RICHARD “DICK” PRICE

James Richard “Dick” Price, 82, of Laguna Woods died peacefully on Thursday, January 26th.

Dick was born May 29, 1929 in Wonewoc, WI, son of Charles Edward Price and Charlotte Letitia Sweet Price. He was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he was the President of the Alpha Kappa Psi professional fraternity. A Certified Public Accountant, Dick was employed by Arthur Andersen and IBM in the Midwest and was a systems analyst for the U.S. General Services Administration’s Federal Supply Service in Washington, D.C. for 26 years. He loved to sail and spent many weekends racing his catamaran on Pohick Bay nearby and on vacations in Virginia Beach, VA and St. Augustine, FL. Upon retirement, Dick moved to San Diego, CA and settled happily in Laguna Woods for the last 15 years.

He married Marilyn Diane Strub on June 8, 1958.

Dick is survived by a daughter, Kimberly A. Price and her husband, Robin E. Mudge of Baltimore, MD; a son, James R. Price, Jr. and his wife, Jill G. Price of Roswell, GA; two grandchildren, Kelsey M. Price and Kyle C. Price, both of Roswell, GA; and a second cousin, Donna L. Robinson of Laguna Woods, CA.

At his request, no services will be held locally. A private family service will take place in Northern Virginia.
