James Landolt Moonly, resident of Irvine, California died suddenly on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Jim was born on Coronado Island, California on April 29, 1945 and is survived by his wife Lynn, son Scott, daughter in-law Amy, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Matthew.

Jim was raised in Sioux City, Iowa, where he graduated from Leeds High School. Following graduation he attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska where he met his wife Lynn. After college Jim enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, then worked for a variety of companies in the hardware industry throughout his career.

Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (4800 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, CA 92604) at 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2011. A reception will follow the services. A family burial will take place at El Toro Memorial Park (25751 Trabuco Rd, Lake Forest, CA 92630) following the services. O’Connor Mortuary (25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653) is assisting the family with arrangements.
