Obituary

James Martin Higgins
2/7/1938 – 9/23/2023

Forever in our hearts –
Thank you for the years of laughter and love!

Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 23, 2023 – the first day of Autumn, a season he loved. He will be missed greatly and was loved by many. What a long and great life he had! He was blessed in so many ways having traveled all over the world while working in various manufacturing plants as an innovative plant manager or designer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was the bestest friend too. He sadly lost his first wife Cheryl in 2002. He was blessed a second time when he met Paddy in late December 2005 after she had lost her first spouse. Together, they continued to travel and have fun wherever they went or at home with family and friends with the many celebrations they hosted at their home. It won’t be the same without him in the neighborhood. He knew everyone. Godspeed Jimmy Higgins!

Jim was predeceased by his parents Martin Higgins and Marguerite Voll Higgins. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Paddy) Higgins, children James Craig Higgins (Elizabeth) and Tiffany Ann Liscio (William); stepchildren Cory Stratford Garvin (Ann Marie) and Kelly Michel Garvin; grandchildren Kole, Mason, Grace, and Benjamin; brother Kenneth Higgins , and sisters Carol, Linda and Elaine.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2pm at O’Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills. A private reception will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Vitas Healthcare.
