James Raymond Johnson 1934-2008

Surrounded by loved ones at home Jim peacefully passed away March 26 from complications of Parkinson's.  He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Mary Ann; son J.R. and his wife Monique; daughter Monica and her husband Dennis; and six grandchildren, Darren, Deanna, Emma, Olivia, Nicolas, and Ethan; and sister Eleanor Wildt.

Jim graduated from UCLA in 1961 and practiced structural engineering in the Los Angeles area for forty years.  He was president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California in l992.  He also served in the Army Corps of Engineering during the Korean conflict.

Services will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Dana Point on April 11 at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research – 800-708-7644 or donations@mjff.org.
