James Hunter Lewellyn- Obituary

James (George) Hunter Lewellyn 50, of  Mission Viejo, California  passed away unexpectedly on July 19th, 2021. George was born June 1st, 1971 in Long Beach, California, and grew up in Mission Viejo, California, a town he loved. Having the soul of a traveler, he made a home in many places, traveling to Indiana, North Carolina, Florida, and Bend, Oregon.

George had a gift for fixing and building things, and he was a true Journeyman at heart. He was a darling boy and a handsome man–he had a contagious laugh and a kind heart, albeit he was mischievous, too. We can’t tell you how unbelievably  heartbroken we are and how much we’re going to miss him.  George’s friends would say he was “larger than life”. He was our family’s diamond in the rough. George was, and is, so very loved. We cannot begin to imagine our lives without him, but know he is in the Kingdom of Heaven with the Lord he looked to so often for comfort.

George was predeceased by his father, James Brent Lewellyn and  his grandparents. He is survived by his son, James Lewellyn, his Mother, Delores Lewellyn, his two sisters, Shawn Lewellyn – Clarke and Brooke Lewellyn- Barton. His nephews and nieces, Daniel Schnake,  Taylor Barton, Danielle Clarke, Peter Clarke, and his beautiful great niece, Myla Rae  and adorable great nephew, Ronan Daniel. His Brother-in-Laws Stephen Barton and Tim Clarke, and dear family, Tori Laughlin and  Sam Barton.

A Celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.
