James “Jim” Hamilton was born in Los Angeles, California, on December 8, 1946. He passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 79.
At just 17 years old, Jim began his military service as a United States Marine, serving for four years before reenlisting in the U.S. Navy. He served an additional two and a half years in the Navy before receiving an honorable discharge. His years of military service were an important chapter in his life.
Jim built his career in the transportation and medical industries. He especially enjoyed his time at West Anaheim Hospital, where he worked as a medical transporter until his retirement in 2005. Never one to stay retired for long, Jim later returned to the workforce, spending another 15 years working at Home Depot.
Throughout his life, Jim enjoyed a wide variety of interests and adventures. His passions included scuba diving, skydiving, racquetball, golfing, reading, traveling, and listening to music. Later in life, Jim began studying Buddhism and embarked on a personal journey of spiritual growth and awakening.
Jim is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 38 years, Debbie, along with his cat Bella and his extended family and many dear friends.
He often shared that he looked forward to being reunited with his beloved dog, Lilly, on the other side.
Jim will be remembered for the life he lived, the adventures he enjoyed, and the special place he will always hold in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
