Obituary
James Gonzales, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 14, 1940, to Felix Gonzales and Lupe Gonzales in Los Angeles, California.
James lived a life characterized by tenderness and steadfast love for his family and friends. He was a beloved husband and stepfather known for his kindness and quirky sense of humor. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him.
James graduated from University of California Los Angeles in 1962 and was board qualified as a CPA the same year. He was passionate about his work as a supervisory auditor auditing government defense contracts. He approached his work with dedication and integrity. His interests were far-ranging: He loved music and the arts: jazz, classical, opera, ballet, impressionism. Famously, for jazz, he could “name that tune” in one note. He was an avid consumer of World War II history and literature.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Taloyo, stepsons Angel Taloyo, Carlos Taloyo (Dawn) and Dennis Taloyo (Christine), brothers Robert (Alice), Thomas (Lorraine), William, and sisters Elizabeth Gray (James) and Christina Gunn (Steve).

Dear Gloria,
We are offering our Masses and Holy Communions for Jimmy, and all your family. Jimmy is my cousin, and I remember him well when we were growing up. I live in another state, so my husband and I will not be able to attend his funeral. Nevertheless, our hearts and prayers are with you. God bless you all ❤️🙏✝️
