Obituary

James Charles Bastian, Sr., was born at home in Chicago, IL on September 19, 1946 and died at home in Mission Viejo, CA on September 29, 2010.

Loved always and forever by his wife of 43 years, Leslie, sons James Elizabeth and Joshua Amanda, daughter Cass Ted Philpott, grandchildren Kassidy, Caroline, Michael, Katherine, John and Elle. Loving husband, father, brother, uncle, coach, mentor and dear friend to all who knew him.

Services will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m., St. Kilian Catholic Church Mission Viejo. Inurnment immediately following at Ascension Cemetery & Mausoleum, Lake Forest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jim’s memory be sent to Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, www.pcrf-kids.org or Boys Town California, www.boystown.org.

  3. Well Jim, I’m sorry you had to leave so soon. I’m glad I got to spend some quality time with you this last July. We have lots of memories, good ones. They won’t ever be forgotten.
