Mr. Hollis was, and always will be, my favorite teacher. I remember all the talks we had together. He would always tell me that I was a capable person and I never believed it. He gave me more strength and courage than anyone else ever could. He is my hero, my role model. And my inspiration. He gave me the confidence in myself that I needed in order to be successful in life. He was one of the main reasons why I decided to become a Marine. I will never ever forget him. I will never ever forget rushing to hug him at the end of every day when school was over. Words simply do no justice. We were all simply incredibly lucky to have had such a wonderful man in our lives. He will be greatly missed. But will forever remain in our hearts. I hope he liked that card I was able to send to him for his birthday. I would love to know what he thought of it. I love you Mr. Hollis. And I can only hope to be half as good a person as you were. My deepest condolences to his family. -Carla A.
