Verhovek, James Anthony, 83, of Laguna Niguel, formerly of Newport Beach, Arcadia and Pasadena, CA.
Beloved husband of Mary C. (Herman) Verhovek. Father of Nancy E. Chamberlain (Leesberg, VA), Lisa Howe Verhovek (Seattle, WA), and Katie V. Kelly (Pasadena, CA); father-in-law to Chris Chamberlain, Sam Howe Verhovek and Jim Kelly. Grandfather of Kelly and Matthew Chamberlain; Gordie, Alice and Johnny Verhovek; and Courtney and Michael Kelly.
Jim was born in Duluth, Minnesota, and came to Southern California in the 1950s, where he establish, owned and operated several businesses, including Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) and Storage Trailer Systems (STS). He was a born entrepreneur and salesman, nonstop teller of jokes, devotee of golf, fishing and cars, friend to many and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is now hitting holes for one for eternity.

Jim and Linda Renner decided it was time to look up an old friend, and are so sorry to see that Jim had passed. He was such a fun guy (as was Mary) and we were truly lucky to have known them. They generously entertained us in their homes and at their cabin in the mountains. Rest in peace, friend.
