Martin, Jack Sevard, father to Mark and Jack Jr., grandfather to Justin, Anson and Zachary, departed this life 27 March 2016, to join his wife of 61 years, Wanda Jean Martin.

He was born and raised in Marysville, California and attended Marysville Union High School, where he met Wanda, the love of his life. He served on the Long Beach Fire Department for 29 years, rising to the rank of battalion chief. After retirement he remained active in fire education and training, Meals on Wheels, and caring for Wanda during her 14-year illness.

Jack is survived by his sons Mark and Jack Jr.; his grandsons Justin, Anson and Zachary; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; his brother George; and his sister Mariel.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 10:00am, at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Butte, CA 95982.
