Obituary

Fleischli, Jack Edward passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on September 29 at the age of 93.

Jack was born July 16, 1921 in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Missouri University Rolla with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and attended Officer Training School at United States Naval Academy before receiving his commission and serving in the Caribbean and Pacific during World War II.

From 1953 to 1982 Jack founded Bay City Bearing then Capital Oil & Grease Co. Inc. both in the Los Angeles area. After a successful career in sales engineering he joined Aid Association for Lutherans, now known as Thrivent Financial where he enjoyed a 30-year affiliation as a top producer.

Jack expressed his faith in Jesus Christ through years of voluntary service both locally and nationally to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod including Board of Directors for Orange Lutheran High School, Lutheran Bible Translators and Concordia University Irvine, to name a few.

Jack is survived by his wife, Sue; sons, Jack and Michael; daughters, Karen and Gretchen; grandchildren, Shannon, Kristi, Scott, Patrick, Katelyn, Samantha and Sophie; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Sophie. Jack is now celebrating in Heaven with his parents, brother, daughter and many friends who have gone before him.

A service of celebration will be held at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Lake Forest on Tuesday, October 7, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Abiding Savior Lutheran School.
