   Jack,

   We will truely and dearly miss you, not only for your Humour, Charm and sense of Adventure, but for the genuine friendship that you extended to us and our daughters. You were more than a friend, you were part of our family just as you made us feel a part of your family.

   We have many, many wonderful memories of times spent with you and Trixie. At the beach, Christmas, the Tuesday Night gatherings, where I was the only “Yank” there, and all other occasions, even shoveling snow in Victoria, BC one Christmas time.

   You were not only “Uncle Jack” to Debra, Denise, Sheryl & Karyn, but you were Godfather in fact to Denise, Sheryl & Karyn and in thought to Debra.

   No special function for the Beeghley family was complete without Uncle Jack & Auntie Trixie there.

   Trixie, we want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers daily and we know that Jack is watching over you to help you along the way in your time of sorrow.

   Jack may have passed from us physically, but he will never pass from us mentally.

   Our deepest sympathy, love and prayers go out to all of the Vass family.

   Dear Uncle Jack,
   I will miss you dearly. I will miss that twinkle in your eye when you were being cheeky – which was more often than not.
   You had a way of making your teasing feel like praise. When you short sheeted my bed I was honored. When you referred to me as “Skinny” – as in; “Go on Skinny, have another biscuit.” it made me laugh. I always felt your warmth, generosity and love. We may not be biologically connected but you definately were family.

   My memories are numerous and fill me with joy: Going to Butterfield in JAX TOY, the odd 4th of July party, Thanksgiving and the legandary Christmas parties, and so much more.
   You and Auntie Trixie mean the world to me, always will. Visiting the two of you was like snuggling up in a cozy blanket on a rainy day with a good book and a great cuppa tea – simply wonderful.

   Thank you for being someone that I knew would always make me smile but would also be there for me should I need help.

   I love you.

   Uncle Jack,
   Just over a year has gone by since that sad day on 11th April we were told of your passing.
   We are always remembering the happy memories you made for us and you are always in our thoughts, especially over this past weekend.
   We will miss not seeing you this summer and hearing all of your stories.
   Our love and thoughts are with Auntie Trixie, Stephen and all the family in America and of course over here in the UK, especially Nanny and Gramps.
   Your memory will remain in our hearts forever.
