Obituary

Irene Pauline Tolosa, age 89, of San Clemente, passed away peacefully at her home on the evening of November 29th.

Born on May 3rd, 1936, Irene was a beloved wife to Joe R. Tolosa for 66 years.  Irene is survived by her husband Joe, three children: Janet Duncan, JoAnn Lucero, and Gary Tolosa.  Each of her children have married, providing Irene with 9 grandchildren.  From these grandchildren, Irene was blessed as a great grandmother to 8 children.  Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and John Kunka.

Irene was known for the great joy she found in her family, especially her admiration for the family children.  An exceptional housekeeper, she took great pride in her home decorations and care.  Irene was a dedicated member of the St. Dorothy’s choir in Glendora for many years as well as an avid member of the Glendora Square Dancers for decades. Additional hobbies/interests through Irene’s life included painting, doing puzzles, and gardening at her home.

Irene will be deeply missed as her love, care, and guidance continually touched our family.  She will continue to live on in all our hearts and guide us on a daily basis. We will all especially miss her beautiful blue eyes.
