    Ueha family.

Hiromi was one of my first friends. We were born 2 days apart. I attended pre-school with her and spent many years in her classes at El Camino, Venado, IHS, and saw her occasionally at UCI. I remember coming to your home for CCD carpooling.
Hiromi was a kind and friendly person, who would always extended a hand to someone less forutnate. She was warm and compassionate, and perhaps one of the sweetest people I have ever met.
I remember running into her five years ago at dinner. Her son towered over her. We talked for a few minutes, and I left the restaurant with a warm feeling in my heart. It’s always comforting and nice to see a friend, especially when it’s been a long time.
I’m filled with sorrow knowing that I will never experience that joyous feeling with her again.
I am sad I missed the news of Hiromi’s passing when it happened, for I would have loved to share a story, a hug, or a tear with you all at her service.

    Sincerely,
    Jeff Soto
