Hoopengarner, Herschel, 72, passed away July 6, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bobbi; son, Robert Hoopengarner of San Clemente; daughter, Julie Knauf of San Clemente; brother, David Hoopengarner of Fresno and four grandchildren.

Hersh was a 53-54 graduate of Fresno High School and attended Fresno City College and Fresno State University. He was an Orange County resident for 45 years and was an insurance executive as well as being active in the development of many Orange County businesses. He leaves a legacy to his family and friends of his love for life, people and the outdoors.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2007 ~ 2:00pm at Pacific Coast Church of San Clemente.
