Henry George Metz of Mission Viejo, CA passed away on December 5, 2013. He was also known as Papa, Pop Pop, Hank, and King of Hearts.

He was born in Chicago, IL on September 11th, 1920 to Henry Carl Metz from Austria and Elizabeth Riedel from Chicago, IL. He married the late Rose Therese Vandak in 1949, and they lived happily together in Los Angeles, CA before relocating and retiring in Orange County, CA. He was a merchant marine in World War II and retired from Boeing.

Henry was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by three daughters: Lorrie Borgese, Ceci Metz, and Bonnie Rouff; three sons-in-law: John Borgese, Daryll Hansen, and Tony Rouff; six beautiful grandchildren: Christina Borgese, Steven Metz-Brown, Elizabeth Sakamoto, James Borgese, Elliott Rouff, and Katherine Rouff; and his younger brother George Metz.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, CA at noon on Thursday December 12th, 2013.

He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
